Project to support the poor women
1. Livelihood Support – Raising Sows and Rabbits
The project provides seed capital for poor and women-headed households to start small-scale livestock farming.
Eligible households, introduced by the commune authorities, receive breeding sows or rabbits along with technical guidance, veterinary care,
and hands-on training on animal husbandry and disease prevention.
Objective: To enhance the business capacity and self-reliance of participating women, empowering them to develop sustainable
economic models independently. The project aims to help households generate additional income and gradually replicate the model
based on their initial success.
Key Results
- 16 women representing 15 households have benefited directly from the program.
- The households have successfully raised and sold approximately 5 tons of commercial meat,
improving family income and nutrition.
2. Supporting Women Entrepreneurs
OKF also empowers women to pursue stable careers by supporting vocational start-ups in
hairdressing and tailoring.
Beneficiaries receive training, essential tools, and startup assistance to establish their own small businesses within the community —
creating new opportunities for self-employment and independence.
3. Providing Work Tools and Machinery
To further strengthen livelihoods, OKF has supplied essential work equipment and machinery for local technicians,
including motorbike and car repair tools, enabling them to maintain sustainable income through skilled labor.
“Empowering women means empowering entire communities — when women thrive, families and futures grow stronger.”
