About Us

Overseas Kids Foundation (OKF) was established in Melbourne, Australia, on December 31, 2007, with a heartfelt mission to support disadvantaged children and families in Vietnam. The Foundation’s very first initiative began in Minh Hac Commune, Ha Hoa District, Phu Tho Province, where a small group of compassionate individuals decided to turn their concern for local children’s education into lasting action.

In its early years, OKF operated as a study promotion fund under the name Dao Thi Tam Study Promotion Fund, providing scholarships and learning materials for underprivileged students. Over time, the Foundation expanded its focus to include not only education, but also community development, livelihood creation, and sustainable poverty reduction.

Recognizing the growing scope of its mission, OKF officially registered to operate in Vietnam under Operation License No. 88/BNG-HD, issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on August 8, 2013. This marked a major milestone, allowing OKF to deepen its partnerships with local authorities, schools, and communities throughout Phu Tho Province and beyond.

Over the past decade, the Foundation has reached hundreds of children and families, ensuring that those in need receive not only immediate help but also long-term opportunities for growth. OKF’s approach is holistic: it connects education with livelihood development, promoting both human potential and community resilience.

With the continued support of friends, sponsors, and partners — especially from Australia and Vietnam — OKF remains dedicated to its founding vision:
